Can I still engage in counseling even though I don’t have Judeo-Christian Worldview?  Yes! OneDay Counseling is not strictly for individuals with a particular worldview. All are welcomed and respected equally.

Who do I call in the case of an emergency or crisis?  While we’re not available to receive emergency phone calls during non-business hours, you’re not without help. Contact either of the following in case of an emergency: Region Ten Emergency Services at 434-972-1800, or the UVA hospital at 434-924-0211. For medical emergencies, contact 911.

How do I schedule an appointment for counseling?  You can either call the office number at 434-566-0998, send an email to rtyer@onedaycville.org, or schedule your own appointment online - click here.

What type of counseling services does OneDay Counseling offer?  We have experience with couples and family therapy, and in treating individuals with mental health disorders, trauma, substance abuse and addictions. If you have specific questions about whether or not OneDay Counseling will be able to address your specific need, then please give us a call and we’ll answer any questions you might have.

Do you provide counseling to children?  No, we don’t provide individual counseling services to teens, adolescents or children. Rather, we engage parents or guardians in counseling sessions with their child. The reason for this is to come alongside the primary caregiver(s) and work with them to support their child.  This allows the parents or guardians to feel involved in their child’s care. When it comes to children, we follow a systemic approach, meaning we address the system surrounding the child in order to help him or her.

What if I don’t feel like counseling at OneDay is helpful?  A major factor in the success of counseling is the relationship between the therapist and the client, and we realize that our style or approach will not be a good fit for everyone. If you don’t feel as though OneDay is a good fit for you, then we’ll do all we can to help you find a better fit. We’ll provide referrals to local counselors in order to help you get the best possible help.
