OneDay Coaching offers services to women, men, and couples. Below are the details of the types of services offered as well as fees and payment options.

Couples Coaching

  • Ruel and Johannah meet with couples for a more individualized hands-on experience. They focus on helping couples disrupt negative cycles of interaction leading to disconnection. Couples are coached in how to reconnect and create a new cycle of connection.

  • We offer a class twice a year that focuses on the content of the Created for Connection book. Over the course of 8 classes, couples will gather with other couples and learn the necessary tools to create a deeper connection within their relationship. Click here to hear from some couples as to how the class has made an impact on their marriages.

  • Ruel and Johannah use SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) as a resource to help couples move toward marriage in confidence while growing in awareness of where their strengths and growing edges are as a couple.

  • What is a marriage intensive? Intensives are the equivalence of multiple coaching sessions conducted in a short amount of time (i.e., in one, two, or three days). Some couples are in such a difficult place that they need a higher level of care beyond once a week coaching sessions. In addition, intensives can help couples get a jump start on support for their marriage by having the equivalence of multiple sessions in a short amount of time.

Intensive sessions can range from a half-day to three days. To learn more use the “Contact Us” tab at the top of the page.

Half-day = 4 hours (equivalent to 3 couples coaching sessions)
Full-day = 8 hours (split up in multiple sessions is equivalent to 6 couples coaching sessions)

Women’s Coaching

Johannah’s passion to help women has been at the heartbeat of who she has been for many years. It began as a teenager as she enjoyed investing in her little sister and her friends, and encouraging them as they faced the challenges of growing into young women. Her passion continued as she entered into her college years and encountered many who were struggling to live out their faith in a culture that was faithless. Throughout her life, Johannah has been drawn to come alongside women in their various life struggles and challenges. It’s been one of her greatest joys to invest in the lives of women, and be able to play a small part as the Lord encourages and strengthens them in embracing the uniqueness and beauty of their story.

In offering coaching services to women Johannah hopes to help them grow in the following areas:

  • Spiritual growth and development

  • Establishing healthy boundaries

  • Emotional development (e.g. learning how to cope with varied emotions, and seeking to understand what drives them, and how to communicate about and through them)

  • Repairing broken relationships

  • Dealing with stress, disappointment, unmet desires, and grief/sadness

Men’s Coaching

Ruel has a heart and passion for working with men. His interest in working with men dates back to graduate school when he started to research men and mental health for a class. His research expanded to writing his dissertation on the impact of male norms (i.e., beliefs men have about what it means to be masculine) and men’s overall well-being. Since then, he has come to learn in his years of experience that many men wrestle with conforming to male norms and in doing so their relationships bear the cost.

In offering coaching services to men Ruel hopes to help men grow in the following areas:

  • Spiritual growth and development

  • Leadership within the home (i.e., leading one’s family)

  • Emotional development (e.g., learning to see that true strength and courage is learning to be vulnerable rather than emotionally restrictive)

  • Repairing broken relationships

  • Becoming better husbands (i.e., one of the greatest legacies you can offer to your children is modeling how to love your spouse well)
